The Pontiac Garage electronic billboard and concert venue opened in Times Square on the summer solstice, June 21, 2005. The spectacular opening unveiled the new Pontiac Solstice with a huge fanfare of music and fireworks. Located more than 60 ft. above Times Square, the Pontiac Garage drew more than 50,000 people for its inaugural concert on the ABC show, Jimmy Kimmel Live along with the guest band, “Jet”. This is the story of how Leo Burnett Detroit hired The WOW FactorŽ Inc., to produce the content and the live event for their new Times Square Spectacular.
